Open Water Certification
The key to opening up the underwater world is simply becoming certified to dive, or obtaining your "C-Card". This initial dive certification is good for life and is accepted all over the world. All of this can be achieve in as little as 2 Weekends!
So what is open water training?
Your open water diver course will typically consist of:
- A home study course with a small amount of classroom time (or our new Online Study Program).
- Pool Training - Where you learn the skills needed for Scuba Diving including using your fins, mask, & snorkel as well as your regulators, tanks, and buoyancy compensator.
- Finally Open Water Checkout Dives - You go out and dive with your instructor and experience the thrill of diving!
What equipment do I need to become certified?
We require all of our students to have Mask, Fins, Boots, and Snorkels. Each student receives a 10% discount on equipment purchases when they sign up.
What makes your training different from other Dive Shops?
- We teach small and personal classes- we simply do not allow more than six students in a class.
- We are committed to safety - we have no student injuries and safety is our number one teaching goal.
- Experience - Our instructors have real world dive experience in all of the worst conditions. They are veteran Public Safety Divers.
- Honesty - We believe that diving should be fun, not leaving you feeling like you have been cheated. We will never try to sell you a piece of gear or a training that you do not need and certainly not anything that we would not dive ourselves or let our children dive!
- Competive Pricing - We want our students to enjoy diving not worry about their wallet. We offer certifications at great rates and gear at unbeatable prices! <(trust me I have looked - Jeremy)
- Home Study Program - We let you learn at your pace and move on to the next level when your ready - No Rush - No Hassle
So the big question; How much is this going to cost?
Quite simply our cost for an open water diver class is $385 plus tax. This is "all inclusive" Manuals and Books, LogBook, Dive Tables, gear rental, and c-card processing.
Unlike some other shops we do not charge extra for materials and since we own our quarry, we don't have any quarry fees for our students.
The only exception to this rule is for private classes.
